I discovered this song a few days ago via Tumblr and it has been on repeat ever since. It's called Hideaway and it's by the artist Kiesza! It's great dancing music and the choreography in the video is so upbeat and fun, I wish I could learn how to do it. The style is a great mix of 80's and 90's fashion trends. One trend I saw readily throughout the video was the use of crop tops which are really popular right now. So now I'll show you three ways to style crop tops with looks inspired by the music video Hideaway!
This first outfit echo's the great 80's fashion that Kiesza herself wears in the video! Pair high waisted, acid washed denim shorts with a bright printed crop top for a modern take on this look. Add chunky sneakers for comfort and cool factor and a quirky lip purse just for fun!!
This second outfit takes on more of the 90's trend that was seen in the video. Black cutoffs are great paired with a black bra-like crop top. If your feeling bold just tie the plaid shirt around your waist, or you can wear it like it's shown and only let a bit of the top peak through. Some punk accessories and more chunky sneakers finish off this sexy-cool look!
For this last look, take the harem pants trend that was so popular in the 80's and also seen in the video and make it modern with a pair of loose fit pants in a fun, summery print. Add a crop top in a similar hue to the colors in the pants and pair that with a cool vest. Top it all of with some holographic accessories and a bright, bold lip and you'll be looking fashionable in no time!
